Once the installation is complete, you want to ensure that the device has the latest update, it’s been properly activated, and there are no missing drivers.
Installing updates

- Open Settings.
- Click on Update & Security.
- Click on Windows Update.
- Click the Check for updates button.

After you complete the steps, if there are any updates available, they’ll download and install automatically.
Checking activation
To confirm Windows 10 is activated, use these steps:
- Open Settings.
- Click on Update & Security.
- Click on Activation.
- If Windows 10 activated successfully, you’d see one of the following messages:
- Windows is activated with a digital license: The installation has been activated, but the license isn’t linked to your Microsoft account.
